I've seen that the Topping E30 and E70 have an integrated pre-amp. Does this adds noise to the streaming or affect in some way the sound? Can you turn off the preamp? Does it even matter?

I am considering this option. As I don't have any experience with DACs and I can't distinguish between good or bad at this point, anything will be better than Bluetooth I guess.

Do you think I shouldn't be looking for a DAC and instead replacing the Rotel A11 tribute for my entry-level setup and budget? Maybe a dedicated DAC fits a higher-level setup?

Maybe a premium DAC won't make such a difference? Is the £300 NAD DAC the sweet spot? In that case, I prefer getting a good enough DAC than a premium DAC if there will be no real difference in SQ and save the spare money for a later upgrade. I can live with the Wiim mini as a dedicated streamer.
