Trying to watch the golf at work and the Sky Player has completely crashed. I've spoken to sky after 45 minutes on hold and they say the server has completely crashed and they don't know when it's going to be fixed. Back-up server already being used.... I said it wasn't really very good as...

    Arcam rDAC + CD17 + Sonos

Hi, I hope this isn't a dumb question! I'm thinking of adding a Sonos and rDAC to my current system (Arcam CD17, Arcam A28, Kef IQ7SE) to make use of a NAS with all my CDs now burnt and ready. Would the rDAC improve the sound of the CD17 as well as the Sonos side of things? I've read on other...

    Kef IQ7SE to MA RX6

Hi all, Would the RX6s be an upgrade in sound from my Kefs? I'm currently using Arcam A28 with Arcam 17 CD player, with the possibility of adding a Sonos and Arcam rDac later in the year. I've read that the MAs would be a good match with the Arcams but no one mentions matching them with the...

Anyone had experience of HomePlug AV Adapters?

Hi, Interested to know if these plug network adapters cause interference to the electrical supply for my Hi Fi or TV. They seem like a good idea but I'm not sure. Anyone had any experience? Cheers

Cheers Andy. Just in case anyone wants to know. Here's the reply from the Sonos Forum. There is software available for both Windows and Apple computers which you can use to scan the Internet for album art and other media data. Click on the links below for more information. The Sonos system...

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

Thanks for the help so far Andy. Any benefits/disadvantages between optical or Coaxial? Something like the Chord Company Optichord or QED Performance, both around the same cash. Or if you can recommend another one?

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

What do you think would be the best way to connect the bits of kit? (I don't think the amp has any optical or other fancy connections.) NAS - SONOS - DAC - ARCAM A28

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

Another question. Would the system benefit from an DAC (DacMagic) from the Sonos to my Arcam A28 amp?

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

I guess if you didn't have a wireless router or NAS and wanted a one box solution, could this be any good, if not an expensive option?

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

Yes I have a wireless router. So it should all work as you say. Sounds great. One more question though. Is there a reason why I would be better using a NAS rather than a standard hard drive, as there is a lot of difference in price. i presume it's to do with quality of transfer from hard drive...

    Would this work? - Laptop/hard disk/Sonos/Speaker

Cheers for the reply. Apparently the Apple Time Capsule can be used as a wireless hard drive (Apple - Time Capsule also works great as a wireless hard drive, whether you have a Mac or a PC. It sets up in a snap, giving you a networked hard drive you can use for storing and sharing all kinds of...
