Thank you Nopiano. Actually, ATC was one of the brand suggested along with ProAc. I was always curious about them especially since visually I like ATC more. Hope I can audition soon.

I can arrange auditions, guess for now I will continue exploring ProAc line as I recall some posts about Response being the sweet spot where the magic of the brand starts to really appear, we'll see ;)

Regarding the used gear, I was referring to turntables (Thorens TD145 and LINN Axis). I was thinking about buying used, add new MM cartridge/s and use phono input from my Rotel 1572 pre (as it doesn't support MC). Now I guess it's not good idea at all...

I couldn't agree more, amormusic! Really good points about second hand market. It's not as saturated with good offers here in Portugal as in the UK though. But still sometimes makes more sense than working with dealers here...
