Difference between LG E and B/C

Hi looking to by one of the LG OLED TVs. I want 55 inch so it's between the B6 version and the E6 version. The E has the built in sound bar, but I don't need that as I have separates. I see it has an extra HDMI input, which I don't really need and the glass 'floating picture' - which looks nice...

    Help on wireless network

Many thanks - I am using the mains connector in the kids room as that's they way it was set up, you are right - with a bit of telephone extension cable I could probably put them in the same place: the BT wall socket is the other side of the room from the BT Vision Box - didn't really cross my...

    Help on wireless network

You will tell I don't know what I am talking about from reading this - so please be gentle.... I have BT Broadband and Homehub - this does the normal WiFi Internet Broadband for my Laptop/Mac/Touch. It also is linked to my BT Vision box via a mains connector. Its important to note the BT Vision...

Calling all Samsung C8000 series users

I have the 46" versions and my comments would be: Not seen an backlight issues at all. Freeview HD is excellent SD is fine - but you get used to the HD so that makes it look worse, it has a slightly artificial look to it in SD with the actors in the foreground not looking part of the...

panasonic 50vt20 .. will it be crowned king ?

Following that logic all your previous 5* screens are now 4* - even the Samsung UE46B/C8000, which you only just reviewed - else I we have to conclude they too are better than the Panasonic - which is fine by me but slightly surprising?

    Samsung TVs

Although the light remains on and its in 'standby' mode the actual power it is using is tiny. I know this cos I have mine plugged into one of those mains devices that then switches all other devices off when the main one is switched off - i.e. it's drawing little or no power, whenever I put the...

WHF Team re: Samsung UE46C8000 review

I agree, for pure picture quality the Panna just shades it in all areas for me too, however there wasn't a lot in it. Reason I went for the Samsung was looks, ease of wall mounting and I often watch in a bright room and in that environment its slightly better.

Will you be buying into 3d

You can see from my post on the Samsung U8000 that I already have, I don't recommend 3D in its current format but I can highly recommend the TV for 2D. I should be annoyed that I didn't buy the previous Samsung which is a lot cheaper now - 7020, but to be honest I take some strange comfort in...

WHF Team re: Samsung UE46C8000 review

I've got one of these TV's and I would say (and I am not alone in this) that 3D is no more than a gimic. Its good for a bit of a laugh or to impress your mates but in reality watching 3D for any length of time is no fun. Few reasons: 1. You need to be in a darkened room else the peripheral...

    CH4 HD on Freesat?

I notice that my HD Freeview tuner picks up CH4 HD but its not available on my HD Freesat box. After a quick Google search I see this discussed on other Forums where they suggest that CH4 HD is coming to Freesat soon - this was some time last year! Anyone know if and when?

What receiver to go with M-1?

One last question - since it seems a change of receiver isn't required. If I attach my Blu-ray to my Amp via the multi-chanell outs then do I still leave the optical connection in place for when I am playing normal DVD's? Would it sound better for that? - I know it gives me additional processing...

What receiver to go with M-1?

Thanks Andrew, that's great news as it saves me wasting £500 on a non-upgrade. Perhaps I am expecting too much, but I am a little surprised that in the 4 years since I bought the original receiver that the technology hasn't improved significantly enough to make a similar price purchase get me a...

What receiver to go with M-1?

I currently have a Denon AVR-2106 but as it has not HDMI inputs or HD decoding I am thinking of upgrading. I have a Rel Quake Sub and 5xB&W M-1 speakers. I don't have much of a budget since blowing all my cash on a new TV and Blu-ray player, so if I am going to change my receiver I want it to...

Freeview HD signal not strong enough?

Thanks - really useful advice. Don't suppose you know whether this is likely to change anytime soon? - I desperately want HD for the World Cup, if its not I may go have to go out and buy an HD Freesat box..........

    Samsung UE46B8000 Motion Blur

I have the same TV and its got a million and one settings, I have just watched the tennis without noticing much blur, and you dont get more testing material than that to watch (although its not as good as clean as my plasma - however the picture is much sharper, I think). Its really a case of...
