Quick question. Can i connect this turntable directly to my Sony STR-DN1040 A/V amplifier with a pair of Stereo Phono cables? Or will i need a separate phono amplifier stage? If you can help, many thanks!

Indeed! I used the microphone set up which worked well - then turned off the AD EQ settings and it is much, much better on my AVR 1909!

Can't comment exactly but i have the Denon AVR 1909 running with the Monitor Audio R90, R45 system and it sounds superb.
