I was but the Xbox One S is proving to be as good a UHD player as the previous Samsung and Panasonic players I had. At least it will be when the bitstreaming update comes in the New Year. At 600 the Oppo now just looks way overpriced.
Well I returned it in the end. It would take one to two minutes at startup to load the server or usb stick. The app would only connect once in fifty times. Poor functionality.
Just bought this player and overall delighted. Just can't get the app to connect reliably. It's connected a few times but is really hit and miss. But controlling via remote I'm delighted with the sound whether usb, network and even spotify. Licks my previous Yamaha player. Wasn't expecting such...
War of the Worlds the Cruise version is a great workout for your sub. Most modern Blurays look great. Planet of the Apes was great the other day as is Interstellar.
Using a large 65 inch TV Darbee never made any significant difference to me. I had it standalone then onboard a 103D but ended switching it off. Might be different with a big screen/projector setup.
I used to have a Yamaha 2020 and replaced it with an Anthem 710. The Anthem sound is bolder and I found the Yam a bit too polite thought it had better features.
Off topic but I'm on my second 3313 now. First one was a couple of years ago and I had the matching 3313 amp. Apart from the nice blue light denonlink made no difference to me. Syncing the clocks is supposed to improve jitter but since jitter is arguably a non issue why bother? As a solution it...
Yes I've got one. Only annoying thing about it is that you get this silly miracast message come up when you start it. Relatively quiet but nowhere near as quiet as the Denon 3313 it sits next too. But that costs five times as much so not a fair comparison. There are no optimum settings as such...
Having owned an Oppo 103d, Marantz 7007 and a Denon DBt3313 I've settled on the latter. Whilst it's just a transport the build quality is superb and it's my favourite of the three. A silent tank built bluray player.
For what is worth I recently tested an MKV rip of Maleficent on a Denon DBT 3313 (originally £900), a Pioneer 170 (£100) and. WDTV (£60). You couldn't tell the difference between any of them for audio or video. Plenty of reasons why the Denon is still the preferred choice but no need to spend...
One really annoying thing is that you keep on getting a message about miracast. Have to press a button a second time to get rid of it. Totally unnecessary.
I use this 79 strand unbranded cable throughout my AV and it's excellent.
