    The finished system :D

My thought exactly, but even if I adjusted the shelves to accomodate them, the units are not deep enough.

    The finished system :D

Have just upgraded to the Denon AVR-X2000 receiver, and hopefully that's another round of upgrades finished for a few years! (Far too expensive a hobby to keep up!) I'm proud of how clean and simple it looks, and I just hope that it all keeps on working well into the foreseeable future!

Panasonic DMP-BDT310 dual HDMI audio issue

Hi TnA200, Did you ever resolve this issue? Was going to suggest doing a factory reset of the player (though you most likely already tried that!).

    Panasonic DMP-BDT 330 connections question

Hi clive m, To belatedly answer your question, no you shouldn't need the optical connection if you have HDMI connected between the SUB output and the amp (and have turned the video output from SUB to OFF). The footnote relates to the reason that this player has 2 HDMI outs - it can send video...

    My upgraded system :)

Agreed, it did take quite a bit of tinkering (and I'll continue to tinker on occasion), but overall the picture now ranges from decent to excellent. Recently picked up a few more 3D Blu-rays, highlights have included Finding Nemo (an obvious choice for 3D) and Hugo (stunning, despite regular...

    My upgraded system :)

So after years as a plasma pusher, I've now defected to the LED camp (sorry for mediocre pictures)... It's the Samsung UE55F6500, had from Richer Sounds for a very reasonable £1050 (inc 5 year warranty). First impressions are largely positive - Blu-ray performance is sublime, with...

Upgrading to Yamaha RXV673 and Panasonic DMP-BDT320?

So impressed I had to say it twice!

Upgrading to Yamaha RXV673 and Panasonic DMP-BDT320?

Thanks for the links guys, holding off on a new receiver though until the Denon shows some even stronger signs it's on its last legs! Bought the Panasonic DMP-BDT330 today, which seemed the best mid-range option for me! And so far I'm very impressed - speed is light years ahead of the BD80, PQ...

Upgrading to Yamaha RXV673 and Panasonic DMP-BDT320?

Thanks for your input guys! Gonna hold off on a receiver for now (esp given that Richer's offer on the V673 is over), but the Denon's days are definitely numbered! Really like the look of the 320 though, I like that it's a slot-loader and very slim and shallow, even though I'm very wary of the...

Upgrading to Yamaha RXV673 and Panasonic DMP-BDT320?

Any ideas? I'm now also tempted by the Panasonic DMP-BDT500, which can be had for roughly the same amount I paid for the BD80 back in 2010!

Upgrading to Yamaha RXV673 and Panasonic DMP-BDT320?

I'm keen to get some opinions on whether I should consider upgrading my Blu-ray player and AV receiver - please see models in my sig below. The Denon has become a tad glitchy in recent months, with random cut-outs and switching between inputs on its own for no reason. While it still does a...

My thoughts on Samsung UE32C6510 TV

bigboss:I'm loving the skin tones! The picture is not at all oversaturated. I tried to improve the picture further following on from your settings Liam19, but couldn't. I'll now attempt after the glasses arrive. Well it seems we have a similar picture taste (if that makes any sense??) On a...
