You must try and hear Lindsey Buckingham's solo album "Out Of The Cradle" a superb demonstration of how to record electric and acoustic guitars - the songs are ace too!

My guess is Soundtracks will generally always be a better investment than James Last albums (!) but if your albums are in good nick you did pretty well to get them for £4 ...In my experience (certainly up here in Durham) charity shops are charging daft prices for vinyl irrespective of a disc's...

For my money DVD-A has the edge sound quality wise ....although if it's about what's available SACD wins hands down. And as for who cares ...many audiophiles do! - there a quite a number of surround discs that sound fantastic ...check out a few of Steely Dan and Donald Fagen's recent albums to...

Sorry Big boss - but having had another chat with another AV expert I accept a doubler or splitter just won't work so it's everything through the Onkyo from now on (gasp!)

...Ok but ....(I'm being a pain now aren't I) is it not possible with a HDMI "doubler" out of the 185 to simply send the sound (and the picture I wouldn't be watching) to my reciever via one HDMI lead and connect another lead from the doubler to my Plasma? i.e I wouldn't need to watch actually...

.....Thanks for the reply (just what I thought) I initially wanted to simplify things for "she who must be obeyed" by not having everything routed through the Onkyo but I guess I'll have to do that now. ...or...would an HDMI splitter work? and maintain quality?

Ok ..so this type of question will have been inevitably have been answered before but bear with me please but ....will I only be able to access Dolby Tru HD sound from my blu ray discs on my newly purchased Sony BDP S185 via an HDMI lead to my Onkyo 875 receiver? (and not via it's co-axial...

I've noticed recently that certain Sky Sports programmes (HD) no longer feature Dolby Digital sound feeds ...this includes NFL coverage (which had previously done for some time) and Premier League football (not today's games anyway) What's going on? ..surely we should be seeing more and more...

I use the £5.00 a month version ..no adverts and mebbe's not the best sound quality version available but great for listening to new stuff and making up Spotify lists (AKA a modern version of the olde mix tape) I reckon it's worth it.
