    Philips 55OLED907 vs LG G5

I would imagine putting them side by side you may notice some very minor differences. The G5 has the layered panel for example and a slightly wider colour gamut. The Philips has some good processing and is no slouch at all though. I would suggest it likely sounds better than the LG as well. But...

Is this TV the LG G5 OLED the most perfect TV ever?

OLED wins every time for me

Is this TV the LG G5 OLED the most perfect TV ever?

A 75 inch TCL at £600 isn't likely to be as good as your Sony for a few years yet. Close the blinds or keep a light off (and put on behind the screen if you need some light in the room). Much cheaper than buying a new tele...

Is this TV the LG G5 OLED the most perfect TV ever?

I would need to have them all side by side in a room to be sure for my own personal opinion. The Sony won the hdtvtest shoot out. The Panasonic is the highest scorer on AVF, the LG scores well in rtings as per your earlier post. Different sources and different results. For me, upscaling of HD...

Is this TV the LG G5 OLED the most perfect TV ever?

Better is a tricky term. The Quantum Dot layer allows a wider colour gamut. The new layered OLED panels in the LG and Panasonic narrow the gap but the Samsung and Sony's have more colour volume. Some might not notice and have other priorities for their screen though. I would be happy with the...

Is this TV the LG G5 OLED the most perfect TV ever?

If it was a QD-OLED it would be even better. A nicer remote wouldn't hurt either! My sis has an LG OLED which is a very good screen, but I prefer the processing on the Panasonic and Sony's. But personal preference of course! Don't forget there are multiple sources for reviews!

    SVS PB-3000 price drops?

    Replacement in the wings maybe?!

    SVS PB-3000 price drops?

I know who SVS are and where they are based! 🙂 It was the pricing I was referring to. Whilst £1599 isn't exactly a 'hot deal' it's still a decent saving compared to prices a few weeks ago. A far cry from the open box subs of 3 or 4 years ago for £1100-ish but everything has gone up!

    SVS PB-3000 price drops?

Various websites have the PB-3000 for £1599 which is the lowest I have seen for a while. Thinking of buying a second one to even out bass response. A good sub for anyone thinking of upgrading.

Where’s the optical input on the Sony Bravia 7 TV?

Might have read somewhere it's a mini optical/toslink socket that you'd need a adaptor for.

    Best Subwoofers 2025 article

Perhaps I should have phrased it better @spl84, my bad. What I meant was that what hifi was originally a hifi oriented magazine and subwoofers tend to be less common in hifi setups as opposed to home cinema setups. Given the wide array of products that they are in touch with, and the likely...

Netflix & iPlayer no longer working on Freesat Humax box?

Older Firesticks can't play Netflix since they changed the encode of the video streams for less compression. May be a similar issue in that the Humax doesn't support the new encode?

    Best Subwoofers 2025 article

I agree, not really a hifi setup addition, but lots of home cinema equipment has been tested so be nice to see updated sub reviews to go with those 🙂
