I`m with David on this. I like the Scm 11 and 19, but the 40`s are not my favorite ATC speakers for sure ... In my experience, ATC SCM20 are way way better. Much more open, articulate etc...

My concern is - is the Partington really better than the HMS2 - I can have the HMS at much better price :)

Well i find the odyssey loose in the bass compared to the NacA5... tried them both on several speakers with the Snait... and always preferred the Nac!

All Naim amps support that function :)

I don`t think 705 is a good choice! Save a bit more for the 706V! Or if the budget is tight, better go for 316bee + 706V!

Cool, cause i have a Supernait & cd5xs, and the combo with ATC`s didn`t work for me ... it was awful! So , i`ve heard 1.3mk2 and 1.3se, and they are pretty good, especially the Se, but with Non Naim amps . So I was a bit concerned if the SN will be enough for them ... demo is not possible for...

jockey.wilson do you find the nap 200 capable of driving the 1.3 mk2 properly, and have you compared it to other amps with this speakers? Sorry for the Offtopic, i couldn`t find the PM button

At this price range - Denon 1510 - I would look elsewhere - Naim, Creek, Curys etc ...

It is pointless to go for a Supernait + 200. Instead If you are not planing big upgrades in future - go for a Pure Supernait + Hicap + Hiline Or if you are planning upgrades - go for a 282+200. Focals are easy to drive, and good match with Naim. Good Luck!

Why should you pair the Supernait with Nap200!? Get a 202+200 combo, or get a pure Supernait, and with the extra money - Hi-Cap or Hi-line, or if you have the new CDX2 version - Naim Dac! It would be easier, if you share some info about the speakers, the room etc...

Steve, i cannot agree with Rick`s point, that every nice amp is capable of driving the entry atc models. A week ago we made a demo with my supernait, cd5xs, and Atc scm 20 towers, and 19 entry. Well the result was bad! I like Atcs, the 20 towers are great speakers, i like the supernait too, and...

My bad, i was thinking about the 20sl towers :) Anyway Scm 19 should be in the shortlist too i think
