What is the best cd ripping program for Mac computers. I want to rip my cd's in the best resolution then transfer to a NAS drive for streaming. I don't anticipate converting anything to a compressed file such as MP3.

Cyrus amps have a bright sound, if your speakers have metal tweeters which sound bright too, then the result may not be very good. I tried a Cyrus 8 amp and Monitor Audio Siver 6 speakers and as expected the sound was far too bright to the point of being tinny.

I want to rip my cd collection to my computer and buy any new albums, as downloads, in cd quality, (as a minium) or higher quality. So which is best, NAS storage and a streamer or a server with built-in storage? I will be relying on a wireless connection between hi-fi and network.

I think better headphones will be the way forward and a good amp to go with them.

I'll check out the Rega. The M-Dac could be a possibility, I could use the DAC all the time. It may improve my cd listening, but I have no need of a pre-amp at the moment. As for a remote control, I don't mind if there is one or not.

So far I have listened to Rega RS3 and RS5, B&W 684, Kudos X2, Kef R300 and Kef LS50.
