I've just finished watching the first season on ITV (y)

I've watched Star Trek since the first series aired in the UK. Watched every series since then, and the films. The only one I couldn't get into was Deep Space Nine.

I was just stating that Mike would possibly hear what I've heard with hi-res downloads. No difference whatsoever. I just find hi-res a bit of a con, trying to get you to purchase the same music again, promising huge gains in reproduction quality, but failing miserably when compared to basic CD...

Black amp, black CDP, black head amp, black speakers, one white acrylic turntable, one black turntable. Black is king. I don't think any of my systems over the years have been any other colour. I find lighter colours too showy, too "look at me":)

I bet in a blind test you wouldn't be able to tell the difference, between that and CD quality on a well recorded track.

I seriously doubt this will happen. They'll kill of the competition, monopolise the market, then increase their prices. It's happening already.

Any SSAV or Richer Sounds shops in your area?

All my headphones have a 2.5 metre cable, except for the Grado's, which I've got a Grado extension cable for. You'll be fine (y)

I'll stick with my old Honeywell roomstat. Simple is best for me :)

When I was working I used to have it on timer. Since retiring, three years ago, I leave it on constant and control it by the roomstat in the lounge, turning it down when I go to bed. But it clicks in an out during the day at my 20 degree setting in cold weather. The walls already had cavity wall...

If you've got a head-amp not much. just don't plug a high impedance set into a mobile device and expect loads of volume:)

Wouldn't bother with the 650's if you already have the the 600's. There's the 660's but I've never heard them. Got my 800's when SSAV were selling them at a reduced price and 0% interest :)
