Bass defect on the 1840 does not sound good. would u say i better of with the 1540 then?

I should have mentioned before the prices are the same. Having looked on there webite they are both priced at £499 or on amazon both round £400. why is this?

Other than 1 leaking more sound than the other. Has anyone got any thoughts in which ones I should choose over the latter?

As it stands my hifi is non-existent. Long story but I moved around alot but now settled again. Although I for sure dont wish to build a cd collection again I commited my self to streamig the day I sold all my cds for pittance (was not my intention) resell value is not what it used to be.

I am a little confused. Are you saying the Orpheus are worse than that of Audeze lcd 4? Also I like to add £33000 extra for the sake of better base...........? Still your a lucky man to have tried on such a expensive pair of headphones.

I am no expert but I am betting if i were to put say the Audeze LCD4 or lcd3 paired with the hugo tt up against this outrageous expense of a headphone the differnece is a minor or at best personal preference in sound.
