How big a difference will it make though? WIll I clearly notice an improvement or is it likely to be subtle?

I have a focusrite saffire LE. It was bought as an audio interface for my laptop when I used to make music. Ive just invested in a my first proper hi fi, and im wondering if it will suffice as a dac between my computer and my amp, or should I really be investing in a decent hi fi specific DAC...

Also what crossover frquency should I set on the sub. The manual says to set the freq to match the -6dB low frequency of the satellite speakers. The 683 manual says -6dB at 30Hz and 50KHZ. Does this mean I set the sub to 30HZ as I can barely hear anything here.

Im running a b&w asw610 with a pair of 683 s2. IM powering them with a rega elex-r and running the sub off the pre out on the amp. However, I just dont seem to be getting enough volume from the sub. Even with the sub turned all the way up, the sub level is bairly audible at normal listening...

Do you not think the elex-r will do the B&W's justice then? I do also have an asw610 sub with the system to add a little extra weight to the sound.
