Yes i use this with the matching dac in my bedroom setup. Sounds fantastic. It's not really 50 watts but only 20. Still loud enough!!

I have the A-S201 in my bedroom setup and it doesn't have loudness controls either just a pure direct button. Sounds very lush and smooth, just the way i like it!

I'm not looking for super loud but comfortable loudness at around 7 on the dial (on a scale of 1-10).

I want to get the AKG K701's which are 62 ohms. Will the chromecast audio drive them sufficiently? Currently using AKG K512 mk ii's and at full volume it blows my head off! There 32 ohms though.

Yes dave i only get 24/96 with my other cables (0.6m and 1m). The cable that worked perfectly wasn't even expensive, only £5 i think. The other ones are £20 and £30 so you would expect them to perform better.
