I want to get the AKG K701's which are 62 ohms. Will the chromecast audio drive them sufficiently? Currently using AKG K512 mk ii's and at full volume it blows my head off! There 32 ohms though.

you need to clarify your question - it is too ambiguous at present.

'drive headphones loud' - do you mean loud enough to comfortably hear, or loud enough to deafen, or etc?

'sufficiently' - sufficiently to do what?

without clarification, members will have to assume they understand what you mean.

I'm not looking for super loud but comfortable loudness at around 7 on the dial (on a scale of 1-10).

But the chromecast audio does have a 3.5mm socket into which headphones can be plugged. As to the possible volume which can be achieved using any particular headphones then I suggest either contacting Google or visiting a retailer. My guess is that it would be sufficient for normal listening.
