I'm thinking an Audiofly DAC or similar to upgrade Spotify Premium sound quality into my A/V system. However, I need to understand clearly whether or not this is a worthwhile or voided route to take because of an AVR being used.So far, I gather that using a Netbook > USB cable > DAC > RCA...

Netbook (Spotify/iTunes/etc...) > Jamcast > Blu Ray Player (DLNA) > Optical to AV Reciever > Pre-Outs to stereo amp. This works nicely, track selection, playlists, controlled directly from Netbook. Or an IOS remote app. :rockout:

Fully aware of the weak links in my system, yes. But for now, before clicking buy now, can blu ray output component video to the TV as well as sendinf HD Audio into the ONKYO receiver. Thanks.

Currently using pre outs for front L&R into stereo amp for music. Any new receiver would preferably have pre outs connections.
