thanks Bill, Its hard to try out things like projectors, tv's yes go into currys and they are all there for you to see but i find only a few high end shops display and demo projectors and then in turn they are not the budget end of the scale but as it happed this beamer is only £549 with glasses...

Hi all, I have just treated myself to a new projector for christmas and have to say realy impressed. I went for a Viewsonic PJD8210hd so 1080p 3d and thrown in was a pair of specs and a 3d movie. But do higher numbers mean a better picture 3000 ansi and 15000:1 ect or is there more to it.

wanted to have a look at the tech spek on this plasma but its not on the web site is the 6900 and the 7000 the same tv cos if it is the 7000 model is around £100 more on the net to buy and also tip if you want the 6900 hi-spek are selling it for £1100 with free 3d bd player and 2 pairs of glasses.

well i was looking at around 100" 16.9 screen, in projector point an electric screen is around £300 is this type ok

whats all this talk about buy, RENT. i rent from b/buster and the £3 to £4 it cost is a bargin for a bd when you factor in that dvd costs the same. I rent about 10 blu ray's for every 1 i buy (i will only buy movies that are very good or classics) why not.
