Hi.Due to a lack of space, i'm thinking about mounting a pair of Dali Zensor 3 with wall mounts. Obviously speaker stands would be optimal. But i'm wondering, with right positioning, would wall mounts be just a good solution as having them on a shelf? Or will it effect the speakers negatively? Another solution would be having them on a shelf, but that would only leave just shy of an 1" to the back of the wall, and i'm thinking this would not be enough? Dali actually suggest having the all the way back to the wall, but from what I can find on the topic, users suggest about 12" would be best. Thanks

i mounted my dali 3s on wall mount's as i had a little one and did not want them to be touched the dali 3s sounded ok on the wall but its not what your meant to do they are meant to be on stands but its what works for you just make sure the mounts will support them as they are heavy and yes if you put them to close to the back wall you will get bass boom or over hang

What mounts did you use - i'm not really sure if it makes a big difference?
Ok, how much space would you think would be ok as a bare minimum?

Well Dali indeed state that they're meant for positioning near a wall. But 10-15cm should be quite good. If you're lucky enough to find a pair of used Guru Juniors, go for that - they're meant to be placed on a wall or in a cupboard. Same goes for Neat Iota I think.
