Hi There,
Well we are finally getting rid of our ten year old telly and are moving into the 21st century. Here is the dilemma; Things have moved on a tad since the last purchase and so we have looked at lots of reviews to help with our MASSIVE knowledge deficit! We have narrowed it down to a 37-40 inch LED backlit TV. Not really big movie watchers (except kids DVD's) and only use a Wii for playing games. However, bearing in mind that the last TV stayed so long, we want to make sure we buy something that will move with the IT times, so want it to be full HD ready, freeview, internet accessible and apparently 2 scarts are important (don't know why!!!) Not bothered about 3D but maybe should be and we are a bit bamboozled by all the reviews (some of which are from 2010 and maybe out of date with new models coming out all the time). We have considered an LG 37 LE5900 and the Sony KDL 37EX503 as they have good reviews from last year....any advice gratefully received as quite honestly, we haven't a clue!!!
Thanks,
Sam x

In this day and age scarts rarely get used. I have 2 on my Sony and I don't have any gear that will plug into them. If you are into High definition and Bluray then the the only connections you will need are HDMI leads, so make sure the new TV has at least 4 HDMI inputs.

It should also be full hd and not just HD ready.

I suggest you look at Sony and Samsung as a starting point. Make sure they have Freeview HD tuners
