yamaha rx-v1065----Denon 2310

Somebody who already had a chance to listen to both of them?

If yes what are the impressions?

Highly recommend the Denon 2310......not heard the yamaha 1065, but the guy in the shop suggested the Denon was a better bet, when I demo'd the denon. (Maybe sales talk?)

Yes but the Denon is uk tuned??I'm from Belgium,we don't have a special tuning here.So how is the Yam when compared to a not uk tuned Denon?

Clare,when do you think the review will appear on site?How do you think we have to read those reviews as we don't have the uk tuned recievers??

Denon review should be on site within a couple of weeks - the review is in the issue that goes on-sale here in UK this Wednesday.

Yamaha review will be in our Awards issue - on sale October 20th; key reviews online from that date, too.

As for non-UK tuned Denons - same as i'd say for the UK-tuned ones: make a shortlist of the products around your budget and go hear them for yourselves, armed with as many favourite discs/matching kit you can carry!

So do I Pete - I'm looking very closely on this!! I was going to get the Yamaha V1900, but due to lack of availablity I'm swaying towards the Denon now...
Will be picking up a copy of the mag myself on Weds.
Possibly into Richer Sounds on Thursday to pick one up!!
Listening to the TV through it's speakers is dreadful!
Even my lovefilm BD are stacking up!!

Hmm,would there be a chance that the 1065(or Denon 2310) is better in sound quality then a 1900?Because the rx-v 1900 is higher range??

I very much doubt the 1065 would be as good (quite a bit cheaper) but I'm hoping the Denon 2310 is up to scratch as I'm foregoing the V1900 for a potential purchase!!
Research suggests there isn't much difference in price between the 2310 and the V1900.
We'll see!
