I would go for the Marantz PM7003. I heard the A-S700 and didn't like it. A bit slow with an uninvolving sound. Als the Yamaha is very ugly IMO, it's not 1980 anymore.

Depends what you're partnering it with. Use a good pair of fast(ish) sounding speakers and the Yamaha will really shine.

I agree with Cypher. I just heard these two together an the a-s700 is very very very harsh.

7003 sounds very musical
