Hello,

I'm in the process of buying a new Hi-Fi system to link to my TV and to listen to music through. As I'm looking for something quite small and discreet I've already bought 2 x Cambridge Audio Minx20 speakers along with the m200 sub. I know the speakers are small but they are perfect for what I need.

I need a new amp and didn't know if the award winning Yamaha A-S500 or the same brand
Cambridge Audio 550A or 650A would be the best match?

on top of that whilst looking for Amps I wondered if it would make much difference to get a receiver and have an additional centre speaker. Is that a bit pointless if I'm not having surround sound?

Any advice/help would be great.
Thanks
Stuart

they're very small speakers, and the reccomended power output from an amp for them is 15-75watts.

the as-500 is rated at 80watts and the 650a 75. so perhaps the cheaper 550a at 60watts would be the best suited of the trio? it's the cheapest too..
