XBOX ONE Audio Out

Hi all,

Does anybody know how the audio is going to be transmitted via an A/V amp for the XBOX ONE? Is it going to be HD Audio via the HDMi lead or is it going to be via an optical/component lead?

at a guess both and or one or another through the settings menu. Although I think a lot more of the modern standard will go through the hdmi...

Optical will not work out of the Box for Dolby.Being added later.

My appygeek app says it will be added later.

HDMI for now.

Wish they would fully test before release and not rush out. Fed up of being unpaid Beta Testers in the Internet Generation.

Never had this problem with the Speccy all those years ago.

Hdmi is a better way to connect to an amp anyway,and with its Blu-ray drive that will be the only way you can hear Dts master audio/Dolby true hd soundtacks and hopefully the new gen of games should have this as standard.
