I have a denon1909 av amp and 5 months ago the hdmi out stopped working.

I went and bought a yamaha 673 so its sitting upstairs problem being my upstairs tv is hdmi only

The sound still works but i was thinking that i could use the componant out to hdmi cable would that work or would the componant be faulty as well.

There's no such thing as a Component to HDMI cable, so no, it wouldn't work.

The component connection might still work - people have been known to have HDMI issues (me included) - but as already said, you can't get a cable that converts component to HDMI.

There are leads i bought one at work all you need is a little box at in the middle of cable which must do the conversion.

all i wanted to know with out opening up the amp is if the componant is on the board.
