Would I buy another Hisence TV, answer to that is NO, I bought a 65k5510 think value for money as the spec said look very tempting.

Its transpired that the software for the TV is flawed and have bugs which pointed out to an engineer over the phone and its never been dealt with, my other concern what the Ultra HD claim, which I was told that Hinsence have not been issued a linsence for.

The Tv software is very flawed and has bugs .because now Hisence prices are close to well known makers I would not hesitate and buy my next TV from a known maker I gave Hisence as change and they never delivered. wont buy again.

That's perculiar, what sort of bugs were you getting?

Just for clarity though: Ultra HD is just another word for 4K, so you don't need a license for it. You might be thinking of Ultra HD Premium? We've got more information about that here:

The model I have is H65M7000 when the enginner phone me they told they were still waiting for the Hisence to be issued with a UHD lisence, the bugs in the softare are as follows, the PVR does not list what has been recorded only date time stamp and channell, so there is no way of knowing what been recorded. the other bugs are ITV player via the software, when an add kicks in we know the sound is muted, but when add has finished and you go back to the what your watching the sound is still muted and as fix this one has to rewind then play to get sound back. when ever in a demand channel and you press "exit" the TV goes into a black out mode and one then has to switch tv off then back on.

My problem with Hisence that all these problems were mentioned via a call to the enginner. but nothing has been done the software need major updating for sure, as for the UHD is this TV really UHD, there is a grey out button to show when in HD but never seen this active even when watching HD via amazon.

As the well known makers with the same specs at the Hisence now I wondering was this the right buy and should have I gone for one of the well known makes,

I must admit if I was to make a choice now ,I doubt if I would go for a Hisence.

I did look at Hisense TVs as the salesman said to me everyone buying them as they are good value for money but glad I did not buy one now after seeing your post . I ended up buying a Sony 4K 49" for £499 which in the end I brought a 2016 model as it was cheaper as there wasn't much in it between this years model and still get 5 years warranty .

can you take the TV back and say your not happy with it ? And have you tried resetting the Tv to its factory settings as sometimes this can sort things out I do understand your saying it's software issues but worth a try .
