I have had a request from my mother to find her a home cinema system. All she has specified is it wireless, I will try and convince her to go down the separate AV receiver/speaker package route. Failing this, and if she does insist on a wireless all in one setup, which would come recommended please?

What's her budget? Also, how at home is she with these kind of systems? I wouldn't try and convince my Mum to get a separate system as it would baffle her as to how everything worked and she'd ultimately be frustrated and wouldn't like it, whereas my Dad is fine with technology and is happy setting these things up, so I would advise him differently...

Budget is £1000 and I'd set up any system (withthe help of you guys no doubt!) Once it's setup it's pretty straight forward to use so I'm sure she would be fine!

Fair enough, so long as you're around to fix any issues etc. I'd still not set one up for my Mum though, the sheer number of buttons on the remote would mean she'd probably never use it!

In terms of wireless though, there seems to be very few separate speaker packages which offer wireless rear speakers - KEF do a few but they're outside your budget really so to that end you might be better off going for an all-in-one unit anyway - perhaps the Sony BDV-E300 or the Panasonic SC-BT200 units with their optional wireless kits installed?
