will the Panasonic DMR-BST940 blu ray recorder work with the vu+ solo2 is there a way of connecting it up so i can record sattelite premium channels to it i already know that you can record to the solo2 hard drive or usb hard drive thanks if so how do you connect it up and set it up properly or can anybody tell me of another recorder that will work with it thanks

I'm not entirely clear on what you're trying to achieve here!

So you want to try and record from the Vu+ to the Panasonic?

Not sure why you'd want to when the Vu+ is perfectly capable of recording (and much more besides)

I'm guessing you want extra storage? I don't think you'll be able to do what you want to do. With the old Sky boxes you use to be able to connect the componat video outputs to an externat device and make copies of HD content but know they don't have the componant conections and prevent any off loading of content. I would imagine it's the same fot set top boxes too.

So I don't think it will work.

The Solo2 will take a 2.5" HDD, has 3 USB ports, and is capable of recording to network shares so storage isn't really a problem.

you're assuming he has some sort of networked storage solution in place! Possibly he's trying to use the hardwear he has and avoid a further purchase?

Im not assuming anything, just pointing out all the ways its possible to record on the Vu+.
