Wii via Onkyo 605

Guys, What is the best way to hook up the Wii for sound. I'm not bothered about any of the video upscaling, and i'd prfer not to run the video through the amp (as it would degrade the picture right?). The only option i can think off is to plug just the R+L plugs from the component cable into the amp, and the video plugs into TV.

That is a good option. I put the five plugs into my tv and then connected the audio out from my tv to the Onkyo. I still like to use my tv speakers in some occassions (less noise ;-) )

I also think the Onkyo 605 has nothing to better the Wii picture quality, unlike the 875.
