Why is brands not arranged alphabetical?

Who desided when we search for brands, looking for reviews (http://www.whathifi.com/products) that brands are shown according to how many there is and not in alphabetical order, to me it makes it much harder,take much more time to search for a specific brand

Obviously we can't answer this for you.

That's a job for the editorial staff who liased with the development team when that part of the website was last updated.

There is a dropdown to change the order to show ... price low/high, price high/low, rating, newest but not alphabetical.

You are seeing an order based on how many of each brand's amplifiers have been reviewed (in descending order) I think.
