I have the monitor audio silver RS6AV and I'm looking for a new amp.I have been to a few shops which have all told me different amp so any help would be appreciated

Sit down with some of your favorite music and Audition various amps. Don't be taken in just on 1st impressions, the best pairings can at 1st appear to be unassuming as in they don't hit you in the face!

I am starting with the monitor audioAV so no other kit I'm looking spend up-to £1500 but if i don't have to that will be good.My room is 5m by 5m i want an amp that will sound good with music to

Hi,
At the end of the day (cliche I know) YOU know best. It's your ears and your choice of music/films.
Use the magazine, others views and your own personal preference (you may not like a particular brand or amp design) to build a shortlist and then audition them with your choice of source material i.e. take your own CD's and DVD's to watch/listen to.
Book an appointment with a reputable dealer and tell him/her your speaker set up to see if he can arrange this - or something similar - and have a good demo.
We all have different ears etc. so that's why you get different recommedations from different people but what sounds good to one person may sound terrible to another.
Remember to budget for speaker cables and interconnects.
