White frame for my TV?

I've agreed with my better half that if I can find a white TV to fit in with her decor, that I can get the TV I want - she drives a hard bargain! I know that I'm going to struggle finding one. I think Sony are the only major player to come out with a decent white LCD (KDL-46WE5), but I don't want this model as I believe it to be overpriced for what it is.

The only solution is to fit a framework around it, though I'm aware this might compromise the sound from the side speakers on whatever model I go for. I know in the US, there was a company that supplied picture frame surrounds for TV's, but these were horrendously expensive and they've stopped supplying them in white anyway.

Does anyone have any bright ideas, short of painting the TV or trading my wife in?

Fitting a frame around your TV will look very odd. Sony is currently your best option. Overpriced it may be, but that's what you pay for if you want a TV which is not mainstream, i.e, with a white panel.

Other options include Loewe & B&O........they look superb in any decor (although very expensive).

I have the 40WE5. Matches the furniture and really does look good. No poblem with the frame being white as far as viewing goes. It was more money, but mostley for the eco tech inside. Granted I switch it all off, but it was well worth the extra dose to have a set that looked so good in the room and has a great picture.

If you want a white set, spend the extra dosh, or, lose the wife, simples!

Clearly have important decision to make - wife or TV? Difficult one.
