Hi,

I currently use a Beresford Caiman DAC and I am happy with it. I now need a second unit for a second room and would get another Caiman but they no longer make them.

What are the latest USB DACs that are the equal or better of the Caiman?

Upgrades are always good but I am familiar with the law of deminising returns.

Input requirements are:- 1xUSB, 1xCo-Axial, 1xOptical. Any extras are a bonus.

Cheers!

Hi DavieCee

Depending on your budget, you could go for either the Cambridge Audio DacMagic 100 or the Musical Fidelity V90, both have the inputs you need for around £200 or if your feeling flush there is the Arcam IrDac for £400 which has six digital inputs ( two each of USB, Co-Axial and Optical ).

hope this helps

Thanks for the reply.

The IrDac is the obvoius answer. Boring but sometimes the obvious answer is the correct one.

Just looking for left field answers or leaps in performance.
