Which subwoofer.....?

I am looking to replace my ageing and failed Paradigm sub. It will have to fit in with B&W 601 & LCR60 S3s across the front and Gale Gold Monitor MkIIs across the back. I'm considering the Velodyne CHT-8R (good reviews) - http://www.hifibitz.co.uk/product.asp?id=3698 - at £299, or the B&W ASW608 (will match existing B&Ws and possibly be a better tonal/frequency match?) - http://www.superfi.co.uk/index.cfm/page/moreinfo.cfm/Product_ID/3607 - at £299. It will be driven by an Audiolab 8000AV/X7 set up, so will be used for movies and music. £300 is really all I want to spend, so any opinions on which of these two would be best, or indeed alternatives I should consider that are within budget? TIA.

Best value subs on the market! i bought the monolith to replace an mj ref 200 and the difference is quite staggering! and the bk cost less!!!!!

Thanks for the link garethwd, it looks interesting and good value. It also comes in a suitable finish to go with my other speakers. I have never heard of them though.

Would value some more opinions though on this and the original options - anyone from the WHF Team?

Have a read through these! if you can afford to go another hundred pounds and have the room go for the monolith! its big loud and goes very very low without hassle.

Your right they dont work sorry! go the av forums and have a look through the subwoofer forums there hundreds of delighted customers that have bought BK! worth having a look before you buy!
