Which speakers with the Yamaha DSPAX863SE?

I am 99% sure that I have decided on purchasing the Yamaha 863. Before I had decided on this Amp I was going for the KEF 2005.3 speakers.

My questions is are these speakers ok with this Amp or do I need more powerful ones?

Depending on your budget. You might want to audition the Bowers and Wilkins 685 Theatre speakers.

Of the Style Speaker packages you ought to be looking at B&W MT20 <£900

The kef 3005's are available <£900

I purchased the 863 with the KEF 2005.3. The two of them sound amazing together. Its really down to personal taste though and budget. There are great deals at them moment with the 863 and Kef 2005.3. The best I've seen is £1039 from Hi-spek delivered.

I have the 2005.3's with a 763 and they sound great.

You really want us all to say Kef 2005.3 £489 silver or Kef 2005.2 £399 Silver. You should at least audition before you buy however partnered with the DSP-AX763 £280 is the better balance, you won't be dissapointed. If it has to be the AX863SE then the B&W MT20 <£900 would IMO be your best match.

They will sound good with the amp but you could get far better speakers and they will not be shamed by the 863. For me, you have a lot of amp and the KEF speakers are just decent style speakers.
