I'm looking to change my 4 yr old Toshiba 32" 720p LCD screen shortly for one of the latest full HD 40" Sony sets. I've been looking at the KDL 40EX503 which certainly looks good and has had some great reviews and can be had for a very good price, however I'm a little put off by references to this set as 'entry level' and am looking for comparisons/opinions re the;
40HX703 (200Hz) and 40HX803 (200Hz + edge LED).
There seem to be no tests out yet for these TV's and I'd be grateful for anybodys' views/experiences re how these 3 sets compare - am I really going to see £300 worth of difference in picture quality/performance over the EX 503?
One issue which has always irritated me with my current TV is pixellation, particularly in dark scenes. The problem is greatly reduced when viewing blu-ray discs and SD DVD's using my Sony BDP S760 blu ray deck. Can I expect to see pixellation completely eliminated on the latest sets?
Finally a question regarding wi-fi connectivity. In the Chelmsford Sony centre I was told that the USB wifi dongle I would need for the EX503 is £70. This seems more than a bit ridiculous considering my blu-ray player has full wi-fi connectivity built in, can you only use a Sony dongle or are there cheaper alternatives, and if Sony can build full capability into their blu-ray decks from the outset, why not all wifi ready TV's?
Thanks
Dave
