Which is better Samsung LE37R88BD or Panasonic TX32LMD70

I have recently moved in to my new place and my dad has said that the samsung is a better telly but my boyfriend tells me to get a Panasonic I know nothing about buying a tv can anyone tell me which one is best. I don't need it for HD as can't afford that at the moment

Reviews of the 32in versions of these sets appear in the TV Supertest in our current, March issue. Both are great sets, but we feel the Panasonic has the edge in all-round performance.
