I'm currently connecting my Bryston dac to the naim Nait amp via a phono-to phono lead - would there be any improvement in changing for a phono to din lead, or is there only reason for using a din connection to the amp if the source has a din output? Thanks in advance

I can't see why it would make any difference. If the Din is supposed to be a better connection to RCA, like XLR, when you have one end XLR and the other RCA, you are not getting the benefit from the XLR connection. I would imagine that the same would apply with Din.

If you mean changing the plugs but keeping the cable the same then no, there is little point doing this.

Naim and a few other hi fi companies like Quad and DNM have a preference for a DIN > DIN connection on sound quality grounds.
