Which AV Amp ?

Thinking of starting up my HTS. More toward music (vocal) than movies.

Which specific brands & model should I look into ?

Whats the budget, Size of room, how wife friendly etc the more specific you are the better your responses will be.

A £250 sony strdh800 with say a q acoustics sourround package would be 700 ish whereas you could go to the hundreds of thousnds also would you like small speakers that look great or more substansial floorstanders.

I would take a listen to an Arcam AVR500, mine sounds top draw on music.
