Which AV Amp For Jamo A102HCS5 Speakers?

I'm short listing a new AV setup and I am torn between Q Acoustic 1010i speakers and the Jamo A102HCS5.

I need something fairly discrete so the Jamo's will probably win it.

These speakers cost around £230.

Which AV amps should I be considering to partner these? I would have thought anything over £500 is going to be too "good" for the Jamo's.

Any thoughts?

Agreed, unless you think you might consider upgrading the Jamos at a later date. The usual suspects are in order here really, the budget Onkyos, Sonys, Yamahas and Denons of this world - the review for those Jamos says they can be a little bright so I'd keep this in mind when auditioning.

Bit tricky to recommend an amp at the moment since they all seem to be in transition at that price point to this year's new models (except for the budget Onkyos which I think are all out now).

It has to be a smooth amp - a Yamaha or Denon will fit the bill. I had the A102 initially and with my Onkyo amp, it sounded a wee bit bright, especially at the top.

Juzzie Wuzzie:I have the Onk 605 with those speakers and like it a lot.

Yes, I agree. The Onkyo 605 is actually very good with the JAMO A102's. Strong, punchy sound.
