when can we expect new panasonic plasmas?

what the post says any news on new tv or do i bite the bullet now and buy a th-42px70.

who would think its so hard to but a new tv

apparantly panasonic are launching new models in february - complete replacement of px and pz. 37" upwards and all 1080p

questions - is it true? what price will they be? how accurate is the feb release date?

I'm in same boat - 37/42PX70 or 40W3000 (PZ too big unfortunately no matter how many times I tell myself it aint)

I haven't got any solid info on those launches, although maybe one of the WHFSV review team will have heard some more. But if Panasonic is launching new sets, you can be sure everyone else will too, what with 2008 being an Olympic year and thus a prime HDTV-flogging opportunity.

You could hold off buying forever - there'll always be something else new on the way...

We'll be bringing you live news updates from the Show on this site, and gathering as much info as possible on release dates, pricing and specs.

But Andrew's right, with another summer of sport due, i'd expect a wave of new sets due by June at the latest.

Lifecycles of TVs are getting shorter all the time - you're lucky if a particular TV is on sale for a year....

yep thats definately a danger - if nothing materializes in the way of news soon then I'll probably go with a PX70 as at that price I don't think you can go wrong and you're less likely to feel tied to it -- spent £1500 of Sony 32 FQ80 a few years back and although its a cracking set I'm sure I'd have replaced it by now if it hadn't cost so much.
