WHAT TV WOULYOU BUY FOR £1500 PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have i budget of around 1500 quid to spend as i already have the surround sound sorted. Any recomendations would be great i currently am going to buy the Sony KDL46Z4500 which at £1300 sounds a bargin

Sounds very good at that price, you will have to consider wether you want lcd or plasma, and for that price you could go 50". I would consider the new Sony lcd KDL 46WE5, Samsungs new range and for plasmas the new Samsungs and Panasonics, but if you after a good deal the Panasonic 50PZ800 is now down to £999 which will save you a few quid for films or maybe the new Oppo blu-ray player when it gets released for europe.

As for the sony i dont like it because its white and just the same quality as the normal w series. The plasma lcd thing cracks me up just don't know which to go for few sites are raving about the new 8000 plasma. I got advised about the new panasonic range but not really seen good reviews of them

What TV are you currently using? Have you considered keeping it (if it's not too out of date) and adding a projector to the system? Just a thought.....

I'm in the same boat, trying to decide between the Sony 46" w5 (which i can't find anywhere yet) the Panasonic 46" G15, the samsung 46" LED 7020, Philips'ÿ47PFL8404H or Samsung's 50" plasma 650.

The Panasonic seems to be a bit soft or lacking in detail and I can't find any reviews on the Philips, but similar models seem to suffer from noise.

And I'm not sure if the 50" will be too big.

I agree- It's a minefield and no single set seems to be perfect in every respect.ÿ

I know I'm not answering any of your questions, and asking more (sorry)! But maybe between us we can get some satisfactory answers.ÿ
