What has the best picture quality?

You seem to have an obsession with every conceivable picture quality comparison!?

Just one of the questions that i asked and never got an answer to. Same question, still no answer!

They are not comparable. If you sit 3m from a cinema screen it will look terrible and you would only see the corner so not very interesting.

If theres a film comming out and you want to see it in the best way. Do you see it in the pictures or wait till the blue ray copy comes out. Is the £8 you pay in the cinema worth it if the picture quality is rubbish.

Guys at the work said that no way is the quality in the cinema better than blue ray. How do you get answers round here?

Absolutely no question. You see it in the cinema but because of various factors. Picture quality is good, take IMAX for instance but cinema is cinema because of the sheer scale of the thing. Sound also can make a bigger impression because even though your home cinema may sound great, it again is on a much greater scale. These qualities will be intensified with the likes of an action film over say a romance, that is the distinction I make over whether I choose to see a film at the cinema or at home.

Of course the quality of projected image is much better in a cinema, because it is about 200 times the size! When films are but onto BD they are drastically scaled down because we don't have the technology to watch anything of such resolution on such a small screen in our homes yet.ÿ
