What happened to iPlayer on Sony TVs?

What has happened to the release of BBC iPlayer on the 2010 Sony TV range, I was told it was imminent when I bought my set back in July?

I too have been wondering this so I asked one of my ex-colleagues at the Sony Centre and he said it has been pushed back to September.

I'm fed up of watching it on my computer and can't wait for iPlayer to be added to the Bravia Internet Video menu.

Until its added to the TV I wont be running a full time connection to the TV, the internet stuff currently on the TV just is not worth it IMO.

Completely agree fordypaul. To me Bravia Internet Video has so much potential to be useful but Sony just haven't pulled their finger out enough to make the most of it.

Interestingly, iPlayer IS available on Sonys 2010 BD players (or at least the S570).
