What cables?

Hello: I have a new Marantz PM6005 and I will hook it up to a pair of Q Acoustics Concept 20's. The cable length will be 16 feet, or about 5m. Any suggestions on the type of cable I should use?

Copper wire seems to be the best choice. If u search here 'cables' etc., you will find most people agree that wet string is less effective.

I suggest a decent strategy when joining a forum is to do a little background research. It will help to assess the reliability of the source and the general level of good hearted banter prevelent in the forum so that you can make an informed choice.

Believe me - 'What cables?" can be red rag to the bull - as a search will confirm.

I confirm my opinion - copper. 100%.

As anything else, cables need auditioning, I would suggest to look at good quality cables as they are responsible to deliver audio stream between your components. Look at anything from £400 + price point get 3 to 5 pares and compare them on your system. I use an exotic type cables Malbru Silver for analogue and Malbru CX for coaxial and couldn`t be happier, I highly recommend them to anyone who want to see what cables can do to their system Either cables you chose you need to audition, to me that is the best way to know it for yourself.
