well me and my bruth have had conversation after conversation about this generally after a few smokes n beers and it usually changes quite regularly but this is my choice at the moment

rush - moving pictures
tears for fears - sowing the seeds of love (if only for woman in chains)
david & David - boomtown
roger waters - pros & cons of hitchhiking
yello - baby or the eye it a tough choice
thomas dolby - the flat earth
dave mathews band - crash
faithless - to all new arrivals
massive attack - mezzanine
kate bush - hounds of love

but to just pick 10 is doing an injustice really to all the other stuff ive missed out like mike oldfield - songs from distant earth, mission - god is a bullet, tracey thorn and everything but the girl, marillion, pink floyd, jarre the list is endless hehe but ill quit there

Wow, quite a few of my favs have been mentioned :)

Counting Crows - August and Everything After

Smashing Pumpkins - Siamese Dream

Nirvana - Unplugged In New York

Explosions in the Sky - How Strange, Innocence

Kings of Leon - Aha Shake Heartbreak (on the subject of these guys, Because of the Times seems to me to be poorly mixed, especially compared to the first two).

Sigur Ros - µg‘tis byrjun

Pearl Jam - Ten

U2 - Best Of 1980-1990

The National - Boxer

Shadow of the Colussus OST

Foo Fighters - The Color and the Shape

It's hard to name 10 though, there are so many excellent albums, and any top 10 lists.

Jeff Buckley - Grace (Legacy Edition)

Tips the hat to Mr. Nandjg there.

The Bowie LP is probably my fave of his and arguably his best. However you slice it, his 1971-1980 period was blisteringly good; high quality, diverse output that took popular music on an amazing journey for almost all of that period.
