Hi,

My father has a pair of KEF Q35.2 speakers at home without an amplifier as it was damaged some time ago; unfortunatley I'm not sure what the amplifier was. I'm interested in finding out what is needed to replace it but I am completely unfamiliar with this sort of thing.

Any recommendations for an amplifier that would work well with the speakers or some pointers in the right directon would be greatly appreciated.

Here are some details about he speakers -

Specification: Q35.2[/b]
System type: Two-way, floor standing
Enclosure type: Reflex
Dimensions (H x W x D): 752 x 207 x 276mm (29.6 x 8.2 x 10.9 inches)
Weight: 11kg (25 lbs)
Nominal impedance: 8 ohms
Power Handling: 100W
Frequency response: 45Hz to 20kHz +/-3.0dB (-6dB at 42Hz)
Sensitivity: 91dB at 1m for 2.83V
Maximum output: 111dB
Finish: Black Ash, Mahogany, Video Grey
System: SP3316
Drive units: B160 Uni-Q (SP1445) [NT19 tweeter (SP1446)]
Crossover network: SP2341

They have 4 pin type connectors on each speaker, 2 black, 2 red (I'm not sure on what this is called, sorry).

Thank you.

I forgot to add - the previous amplifier had a CD player / radio built into it. Something with these features would be ideal. Thanks again!

I used them with a Marrantz pm4000. It was a perfect match and the amp was actually quite cheap (initially £150).

All the best,
