Are you referring to the dentons? if you are they're a good shout as long as you like the sound of them

I had a pair. Not my cup of tea at all. Overly smooth and creamy, almost syrupy. If that’s what you’re after, fair play. There are, in my opinion, plenty of better speakers available. Nice retro looks, though, if you like that sort of thing.

Peter J Comeau likely had input on the design.

He knows a thing or two about it ... .

I had one of his other designs, now manufactured in China and none the worse for it ... Quad S2.

Imho a truly superb speaker with a grown up sound. Not in your face and not foremost a party speaker. It can rock (one of my main genres is death metal) but is so, so capable of much more. I won't go into detail but if you like a neutral and slightly warm sound you can listen to for hours without having your ears taken off the Wharfedales may be worth a shout.

If you want a super detailed monitor or bass heavy speaker it may not be the best choice.

I add that I have not heard the Wharfedales.
