Watched Deepwater Horizon last night.

An excellent portrayal of what actually happened, if a bit short on technical details that would only interest those in offshore oil anyway, and they did a superb job of recreating the DW Horizon herself, especially the drill floor etc. Very realistic. And yes, I made my first offshore trip thirty years ago and my last two years ago.
Anyway, if you want to try out Atmos and don't like superhero movies, this is a go-to.

Made a stupid mistake by ordering my UHD copy from wow hd when it's being released in the uk on the 30th january oh well that'll teach me, i guess at least i'll get to see it a couple of weeks before it's official uk release.

I missed it at the cinema. The wife made go see one of those "arty" movies instead. As usual, I got thrown out for snoring. Deepwater Horizon was impressive enough upscaled to 4K on a 60-inch screen, would be very very good on a 120+ UHD display.

Still, lottery night tonight...
