Wanting a 70 inch + Tv

Hello,

Hoping you can help. I’m after a 70 inch + TV, but Ideally don’t want to spend over 1k- could go to 1.5k at Max. I see the OLED TVs are the best but any OLED tv that’s bigger than 65 inch is over the 2k Mark which is too much.
Would it be better to settle with a 65 inch OLED rather than have a 70 inch +QLED , UHD,Nano etc?

We will be sitting approx 3m away from the TV and the wall is 3.8m long

I think you're going to have to visit somewhere like Richer Sounds and sit 3m from sets of that size and see how it seems to you. 3m is pretty close - our set is 5m+ away and still seems pretty big to me.

You also need to look at the two screen types and see what you think. Blacks are better with OLED (and don't underestimate that) whilst QLED etc are generally brighter. If you prefer OLED, I suggest saving a little longer.

It seems a bit of a pain up the arse to have a 77-inch OLED, especially if it gets screen burn. Imagine asking people to come in and carry that around and switch screens. Tempting, though.

I sit less than 3m from my 75-inch screen and it's amazing.

Go for the biggest screen you can afford and accommodate. I have the Sony KD75XH9005 and it's really good.
